The Career Success Center offers free, customized presentations and workshops to support your students’ career development. Faculty at the University of Southern Indiana can request a session led by a member of our CSC Team.

The Career Success Center partners with faculty to support and enhance department-led internship courses. We offer a range of resources and tools to help streamline the internship experience for both faculty and students.
We can assist your department by providing the following:
Mid-Term and Final Evaluations – Standardized evaluation forms to collect supervisor feedback on student performance.
Internship Tracking through Career Launch – Easily monitor student internship details, including site information, supervisor contacts, and learning objectives.
Work Hours Tracking – Students can log their internship hours directly in Career Launch for easy verification.

The Career Success Center offers GENS 399, a course designed for students who wish to earn 1 to 3 academic credit hours for a qualified internship experience. Faculty and staff are encouraged to refer students to our office to learn more and register.
About GENS 399:
Students are enrolled in a course section led by Career Success Center staff.
The course is graded on a pass/no pass basis.
Students gain access to a Blackboard course site and complete a small number of assignments, including:
A learning agreement
A mid-term evaluation
A final evaluation
Credit hours are based on the total number of internship work hours completed:
50 hours = 1 credit hour
100 hours = 2 credit hours
150 hours = 3 credit hours
This course is an excellent way to help students gain academic recognition for their professional experience.
If you know of a student who has recently completed or is currently participating in an internship, please encourage them to self-report the experience through USI Career Launch by clicking the "Report Your Internship" link.
Faculty who supervise internships can view student-reported internships in Career Launch - send a list of your registered students to our staff and we will assign them to you when complete the online internship form.

Faculty can request Career Launch access by clicking the Career Launch icon on myUSI or by contacting us via email.
We also offer student-view accounts for faculty who wish to explore the platform as students see it. This can be a helpful tool for advising and classroom demonstrations.
The Next Destination Survey collects information about the post-graduation plans of University of Southern Indiana students, including employment, continuing education, military service, and other outcomes.
If you have questions about the survey, access to the data or how the data is used, please contact the Office of Institutional Analytics.
Students who are graduating should be directed to complete the online survey.
